Why does the drywall have to be cut?

Commercial Damage in Auburn, WA

The damage that was done to this commercial building was due to flooding from a broken pipe. Because there was wet insulation and the chance of mold growth SERVPRO of Auburn/Enumclaw was given adjuster approval to remove all the wet drywall.

If the drywall is wet for too long, over 24 hours, there is a high risk of mold growth. Removing about twelve inches of drywall would assure any mold growth would have bee eradicated from the building. The crew was very respectful of the business by wearing uniforms and cleaning up after themselves after the demolition.
