How do you set up dehumidification correctly?

Keep Ducting Out of The Way

When a commercial company had a large water damage they turned to SERVPRO of Auburn / Enumclaw to dry out their building. We are certified through the IICRC on drying commercial buildings. We know that the set up of dehumidification is vital and follow the steps below.

  1. Lay out ducting throughout the wet ares of the building.
  2. Start the desiccant to fill the ducting with hot air.
  3. Fasten ducting to ceiling to comply with OSHA trip hazard criteria.
  4. Cut holes in ducting every few feet to allow hot air into the building without deflating.

Following these steps promotes evaporation and dehumidification of a large commercial water loss.
